There Are No Second Generation Atheists

Of course that's a lie: I'm one. I blogged about it before, inspired by the dummies at Conservapedia who said that second generation atheists never amounted to anything (the link is in that previous post).

I'm typing this in the lecture hall of my medical school so I'd like to think I'm amounting to something. But never mind that because Adam Savage from Mythbusters not only is a cool guy with a hit show, but he also just got Harvard's humanist award. Key point from his acceptance speech:

"I'm actually the fourth generation in my family to have no practical use for the church, or God, or religion. My children continue this trend."

Totally nice!
