Your Tax Dollars, Going for Medical Hocus-Pocus

Quietly announced at the Center for Inquiry, but amazingly little-discussed in the atheosphere: our Federal tax dollars will now go to Complementary and Alternative Medicine. Which is to say, evidence-free snake-oil. It's in the Healthcare Reform Act.

Where's the outrage? I'm amazed and disappointed that this hasn't been more widely discussed. This will have more immediate financial and human impact than if creationism were mandated to be taught in schools at the Federal level. I'm half-seriously starting to think we need a National Center for the Protection of Evidence-Based Medicine, to have a similar role to the NCSE.
