Improving America's Economy: Raising Kids Who Like Science

"Many parents who loathe math fear raising kids who feel the same. This is becoming a more urgent concern as the fastest-growing occupations increasingly require skills in either math or science." This Wall Street Journal article focuses on how parents can stop their kids from inheriting their own math-phobia.

So it's ironic that there are parents who intentionally stunt their kids' science education. That's a serious question for creationists: do they think they're making it easier or harder for their kids to get a technical job in the economy 25 years from now?  Showing how they're hurting America and their own family will probably wake up a few more of these folks than other arguments, which they've probably heard repeatedly by now.
