The "No Jab, No Play" Campaign in Australia

A new move to keep unvaccinated kids out of public schools is gaining ground in Australia. (By the way, the whole anti-vaxxer movement is a perfect example of irrational thought causing concrete problems.)

A good friend of mine is waiting until his son starts kindergarten in a few years, and then suing the school for child endangerment for letting in unvaccinated kids. He's worked out the legal details ahead of time. Hopefully before it goes to the courts, a similar campaign to the Australian one will take place here.

Yes, Mike, I agree with you completely. I hate the notion that some religious nut would endanger MY child because of their ignorance and fear. The ones I detest the most are the ones who claim that a vaccine will induce autism, something completely unfounded and ridiculous to boot!

They're endangering not just kids, but everybody.

I don't think anti-vaxxers are limited to religious people though.

Peter, you are very correct. In my limited experience many of the anti-vaxxers are non-religious. It's an irrational belief that doesn't use appeals to the supernatural.
