Another Local Cross Case - Lake Elsinore

The city of Lake Elsinore decided to put a cross not at City Hall, but at the local minor league field, despite being warned by the city attorney that they would be sued. And they are, by the AHA. The Pacific Justice Institute has decided to defend them. Check out PJI's website, which, SURPRISE! seems very interested in stopping gay marriage also.

The city council (as quoted by AHA) unwisely stated that they were taking a stand for Christianity and against the separation of church and state. Putting a doomed-to-failure monument at the baseball diamond even after being told they'd be sued, and leaving taxpayers on the hook for paying any fines in the future - that's trying to score points with voters now, and leaving them on the hook for dollars later - classic politician move.
